Kuma's Sushi Bowl: Discover Delicious Sushi and Healthy Bowls in Vernon Hills

Best poke bowl I’ve ever had. Unlimited miso soup with every order, which is delicious. The orders are always made quickly. Their portions are very generous, easily the largest sized poke bowl I’ve ever received but even better are the quality of ingredients. The flavor is always off the charts. The staff are always friendly and smiling. Great experience every time. I’m thankful my office is close to this restaurant. I try to go two times a month at least.

Ive been going here for over a year now and I could say hands down this is my favorite food place ever. Their food cleanliness and consistency goes beyond my expectations everytime. It simply is perfect and on top of all this the owners make me feel at home. My two favorite orders from Kuma’s are the Whatta Shrimp Bowl and Deluxe Salmon Bowl. 10/10 <3

Wow, what a wonderful experience! I am not normally a fan of Japanese cuisine, but I have to admit, I was woefully enlightened by the offerings of this restaurant. First, the atmosphere was beautiful upon entry. I felt so welcomed and the homely aesthetics only added to my comfort inside. Next, the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had the Tuna Tar-Tar Nacho as a sort of way to ease into this unfamiliar cuisine, and boy was it tasty and delicious! From that first bite alone, I felt like I immersed myself into the Japanese culture— as if someone was pulling me into another world and teaching me their ways of life. Huge compliments to the chef(s) that made this meal with so much care and love, giving ‘substance’ a whole new meaning. And now for my biggest highlight of this already joyous experience: the absolutely stellar service!! There was one employee in particular who greeted me with so much enthusiasm and delight, that all my previous worries disappeared. Their smile and warm demeanor made me feel like I was not a customer, but family! There was one specific moment where said employee guided me to the water dispenser near the fountain because I did not know where to locate the water— I was awestruck! For any employees or managers that are reading this right now, take heed of this! THIS is how you treat a naive customer and make them feel safe. I would also go so far as to saying that this employee deserves higher pay, but of course, this is not my establishment or my place to make recommendations. Although I do strongly believe this. Overall, the ambience was outstanding and I would definitely come here again. Kuma’s Sushi Bowl for the win!!! 100/10

First time eating here. Had #6 Deluxe Ahi Tuna Bowl. It was phenomenal! The service was very fast and friendly. The place is clean. This is my new favorite poke place!

Got the Deluxe Salmon bowl. Holy awesome! Portion size was unlike any other poke bowl I’ve had, delicious ingredients (including “black rice” which I’ve never seen), and the staff couldn’t be more friendly. 6/5 stars!

Delicious food and friendly staff. The sushi bowl is basically a poké bowl. You don’t get to pick and choose options here, but that’s okay because it is delicious. Creamy sauces, raw tuna, spicy tuna, and crunchy little bits to overwhelm your pallet with different flavors and textures. Seemed like a popular spot when we walked in. Now I can see why. As long as this place maintains the quality of the food they are serving, they should never have a problem attracting customers or creating regulars.

FOREVER FAVORITE - I first came under a raving recommendation from several people I know, and at this point I have been coming here for a few years now. I can gladly say I am now one of those raving recommenders, because the bowls are always so fresh and filling with generous portions, and I’ve always had timely and friendly service. My personal favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl, but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Delicious sushi bowls, complimentary miso soup, friendly service and NO TIP SCREEN. Thank you for not having a tip screen. I will keep coming back for this reason alone!
